WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG? (Walsh) What took you so long? Can’t you see the fire is gone You took your life for granted Riding elephants and eating mangos You scrape the dirt from your hands Stories and legends in your fingernails What took you so long? You left when nothing was wrong You have your bungalow Treasures in the Indian snow Your lover cries at the shore Where is my carpet? The magic is gone The little girl and the dragonfly That was you leaving L.A. for the last time What took you so long? Vacation with a bong Your passport fairytale Bombay was a Mexican jail The heat under your skin Everything’s burning, you don’t fit in So baby, after tonight It’s back to the daze of your everyday life
3.
SUNSHINE DAYDREAM (Walsh) Sunshine Daydream Melts like ice cream Splashy splashy Sticky taffy CHORUS Why would a lemon drop lie When there’s so much beauty in the truth Why would a jelly bean hide When there’s beauty in the other world and beauty inside Sunshine Daydream Skipping merrily Playground jelly bean Sand box tangerine CHORUS CHORUS Do you have a Sunshine Daydream believer In your heart a little child A child of bliss and a child to kiss On a rosy cheek In a Sunshine Daydream In a Sunshine Daydream In a Sunshine Daydream

IT’S AN EASY LIFE (Walsh) Rest your weary eyes Take off your disguise Don’t you know it’s easier to sleep? Who took all the money? You took all the money You spent your fortune on rice and beans The ice truck delivers every three days CHORUS It’s an easy life, it’s a hard life So forgive your frozen fingers or your fear will turn to ice It’s an easy life, it’s a hard life So work hard don’t you sweat it or you might as well forget it It’s an easy life It’s an easy life The blind man holds the ticket Your destination is in Braille So grab hold of his dog And ride the magic bus Life is hard enough without all your complaining Go to the wailing wall if you want sympathy The hangman is calling, he’s on your side CHORUS CHORUS Rest your weary eyes Take off your disguise Don’t you know it’s easier to sleep? When the money’s gone You’ll be drifting on You squandered it away now you have to pay The judge and jury take you out for lunch CHORUS CHORUS

DANIELLE THE WISHING WELL (Walsh) Danielle the wishing well The black cat’s got you under her spell ‘Round and ‘round and ‘round you fell Through the crack in the wishing well Underneath a broken tree The devil found his fantasy Lying there in the winter snow You said yes ‘cause you couldn’t say no Danielle the wishing well Went to town with a story to tell “I’ve seen a man with a light in his eyes He had a pitchfork mouth and he came from the skies” The townsfolk took her to the tree They read the rites on bended knee The full moon laughed in the starry sky The black cat watched with burning eyes Danielle the wishing well Lived and died and went to hell She chased the cat and then she fell Broke her neck in the wishing well The townsfolk came from miles around They could not find the hole in the ground The black cat found her way to the pound The full moon laughed without a sound Danielle the wishing well Danielle the wishing well
